The once disgruntled subscribers of cable are rejoicing. After dumping the expensive price of poor cable service married to unprofessional customer support, they are experiencing the joy of satellite TV.

The Downside of Cable Service
If you’re a current cable television subscriber, then you know the drill. Cable service bills are constantly growing while the service remains on a shoddy decline. Around the country, cable subscribers are subject to regular rate hikes. Moreover, the customer service is the worst of any industry in existence, today.

In lieu of the inept service, unfortunately, several companies are virtually monopolizing the market. Even more incredulously, the giants of cable are oblivious to the widespread dissatisfaction of their pricing, product, and support. From monthly subscription fees to inflated equipment rental charges, subscribers are paying way too much for the quality of the service they receive.

The Boon of Satellite Television
Alternatively, satellite TV offers an alternative to the service inadequacies of cable TV. As most retailers offer free installation, consumer can enjoy the boons of TV. For as little as $24.99 a month, a satellite dish and receiver are for the subscriber’s keeping. In other words, satellite users are not required to pay a monthly rental charge nor return the equipment if they relocate.

Satellite Market Research
In the customer service department, satellite TV gets 2-thumbs up. In a survey conducted by JD Power and Associates, customer’s satisfaction was compared with satellite TV providers and all the major cable companies. The results demonstrated that both Direct TV and Dish Network subscribers received the highest possible scores in almost every aspect of service including reliability, customer service and cost. Conversely, the major cable companies scores did not compare to the results of satellite TV. (VOOM was not available at the time of the study).
